Big Dog Motorcycles has been around since the 90s. Always dedicated to iconic and classic styling.
This blog post is a showcase of photos from the mid-2000s, 2016, and 2022.
The following photos are from 2001.
A few years later, Big Dog was leading the industry with custom hardtail and softail pro street and chopper models. The following are 2006 models.
Another element of Big Dog during the peak was bikini models with the bikes… Here is a gallery of some past bikini and bike pics.
Before we jump to the next chapter of Big Dog Motorcycles, here are some studio shots of the 2010 bikes, one year before the end of production under the original ownership.
Fast forward to 2016, Big Dog had closed, re-scaled, and re-opened under new ownership. The current owners are a group of investors lead by Matt Moore, a previous employee who was part of the original company. In fact, almost everybody who still works at Big Dog was there in the early to mid-2000s under the previous ownership.
Here are some pics of 2016 Big Dogs that were built when Big Dog came back.
2016 Big Dog Motorcycles can be found nation-wide and as far as Dubai.
The Limited Edition K9 pictured above traveled to Sturgis in 2016. The Limited Edition Mastiff above was showcased at Daytona 2016, and a black version of the Coyote was also ridden at Sturgis, 2016.
Now, in 2022, we are offering three Big Dog Models. The best selling K9 chopper with redesigned body lines from the increased-capacity fuel tank. The Bulldog Trike, and the Mastiff pro street style bike… The Limited Edition 2016 Mastiff is my favorite example of the current version, so I will add a couple of those pics to this gallery also.
We have been working on several concept bikes since 2016 and are beginning on another soon.
Below are a couple shots of the Boxer sport V-twin concept.
If the pics weren’t enough, here are a few videos of the 2022 bikes.
We also provide service and parts for Big Dog Motorcycles, so make sure to treat your dog right and stick with OEM, factory certified parts.
Big Dog has been an important part of American motorcycle history for nearly thirty-years. We started as a dream by Sheldon Coleman. A man who knew business and manufacturing well.
Now, the next phase of Big Dog is focused on sustainability and longevity. Our owners are extremely savvy and experienced investors and managers. The company has been scaled to handle economic challenges and growth. Our staff is smaller now and every one here is dedicated to the continued success of the brand. It is obvious that the entire staff feels a sense of pride and ownership in Big Dog Motorcycles, which is an amazing asset for any company.
Our whole team is grateful for all of the love and support from our riders, fans, and friends. Thank you for standing by our side over the years and supporting us as we continue to grow and develop! Make sure to keep following for great content, new concepts, and more beautiful Big Dog Motorcycles!
