The Daytona ride was a fun part of our trip to Bike Week. A Big Dog Motorcycles owner’s group organized this ride. I was just a follower on this part of the adventure.
I was riding the brand new Limited Edition Mastiff that we revealed on stage at the Broken Spoke Saloon.
This bike had six-miles on it at the beginning of the trip, but by the end there was well over two-hundred-miles on it… The Limited Edition Mastiff went straight to the sales floor after we revealed it at the Broken Spoke Saloon, so we did not take any long rides on this trip.
When I shoot video at rallies, I rarely know what is happening. I just come along for the ride and make sure the camera is rolling wherever we end up.
The Daytona ride started at a fish/crab restaurant. Then we explored a beautiful palm-covered road that wound through lakes and marshes. Finally, we ended up at Flagler Beach where we all parted ways. Many of us got together later for the Limited Edition Mastiff reveal at the Broken Spoke.
I have ridden with a large group of Big Dog riders three times thus far. This was my first time to ride with a hand full of them.
Big Dog riders are great to cruise with. Passionate about their Big Dogs, knowledgable about mechanical issues, and they possesses a certain element of class that I definitely don’t see in many random riders.
I’m grateful to come to events with Big Dog Motorcycles. Meeting riders like this group is one of many perks of the job.
I look forward to more rides and events where I get to hang out with the enthusiasts that I’ve ridden with and meet new people who are passionate about Big Dog Motorcycles.
Make sure to only use genuine Big Dog parts on your bike!

Over the last few years, apparently the blog post was written twice… Instead of throwing it away, here’s V2!
Enjoy this helmet cam video of riding at Daytona Bike Week. This afternoon brought the Big Dog Motorcycles pack on a loop in the Daytona Beach and Flagler Beach areas.

As we finish up our current phase of video projects, I am making sure that all of our old videos find their way to Facebook, Youtube, and the Big Dog Blog.
One of the many great things about producing videos for Big Dog Motorcycles is that I get to meet some of the coolest, most dedicated owners and riders around.
This was the first of many times I rode with a group composed of 100% Big Dog riders.
Having grown up in Kansas and currently living in Colorado, I rarely see palm trees and beaches. Elements that made this day’s ride so enjoyable. The skies were blue, the temperature was perfect, and the riders treated me as a part of the Big Dog Extended family.
The leisurely cruise was a beautiful loop along lakefronts, marshlands, and through palm tunnels.
I was on the special edition Big Dog Mastiff number one of ten.
We finished building the bike on the road and put the first miles on at Daytona Beach.
After getting comfortable on the Mastiff, I fell in love with the way it rode. This Big Dog was an extremely solid bike. Torquey, tight, and great in the turns. Power, style, and handling to match. Don’t forget the sound of the 124 cubic-inch V-twin engine.
At the end of the ride, everyone split up. Many met later that night at the Broken Spoke Saloon. Until that moment, I had no idea the Mastiff I was riding would be the star of the show.

I am grateful for all of the opportunities and adventures that Big Dog Motorcycles has brought into my life. I can’t wait to produce and share many more videos in the near future!
