The bike was parked in the Big Dog Motorcycles factory, looking pretty and doing nothing, so I wheeled it to the parking lot, grabbed the DSLR and captured some videos with a 50mm f1.8 lens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The engine on the Turbo Ridgeback is an S&amp;S 107. The turbo was custom built with various parts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bike owner and Big Dog President Matt Moore spent 13-years building this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=yX-3C4UXzYs\">Big Dog Turbo Ridgeback<\/a> with help from past company fabricator and friend Pete Rumschlag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/bigdog.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Bonneville-045-Large-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"Turbo Ridgeback fabricator Pete Rumschlag on a land speed motorcycle at Bonneville\" class=\"wp-image-663\" title=\"Bonneville land speed motorcycle\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bigdog.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Bonneville-045-Large-1024x768.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/bigdog.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Bonneville-045-Large-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/bigdog.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Bonneville-045-Large-768x576.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/bigdog.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Bonneville-045-Large.jpeg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Pete Rumschlag (on bike)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Moving the turbo bike around the shop, I&#8217;ve built forearm strength pulling the clutch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Matt explained that it is a racing clutch with heavy duty springs. He then told me that it is not the most comfortable bike to ride in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ridgeback fired right up when we shot the video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notice the hard launch with Matt, the owner. This bike can get off the line proper with the right rider and it could kill the wrong rider just as fast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notice the rear wheel as Matt dumps the clutch. It as no problem breaking loose with the stiff springs, turbo, and rider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The handlebar mounting is one of my favorite aspects of this custom Big Dog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Turbo Ridgeback Parked At The Big Dog Factory<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Turbo Ridgeback is one of many cool elements of working in the Big Dog factory.
